Heidi gettin' Hygge

Welcome to Our NEW Blog!

Since we’ve been getting Due West spit-and-polished, we thought we might as well give her a new blog too! While we’ve really appreciated all that Sailblogs has had to offer over the years, it has been very cumbersome to use. So Heidi is hoping by having a new WordPress blog, it will cut her blogging tasks in half.

We are still working on leaving Banderas Bay. It’s sticky they say! Some call it Boomerang Bay, as you always come back again… that is if you can get away in the first place!

An unseasonably COLD weather front brought us 3″ of rain in a 30-hour period ringing in New Year’s Eve… and it was actually cold enough for Heidi to don her wool socks, fleece pants, and hoodie! And with it, we found a few areas of water intrusion. So once things dry out, Kirk will be caulking those up. Our “to-do” list is definitely getting shorter, we can see the light at the end of the tunnel. So when will we actually cast off our lines and sail away?

I saw hour picture of your Jerry can covers on Pinterest. Could you give me a step by step how you made them. I have 5 to cover and can’t seem to get the top right. We have a Pearson 365 sailboat and hope to get to the Bahamas this spring.
    Thanks,
    Laurie

Hi Laurie, thanks for your question. We had them made by a canvas maker in Mexico. I will take a few photos and email them to you, maybe that will help.

Kirk and Heidi-We are well and happy and so is our family. We are grandparents now of a 4 year old Edie Grace Murphy and she has her Kitty Mozi. Our Son and his fiance are also healthy, Payton has taught Patrick how to be a vegetarian and its really been healthy for him. We bought a house in California for them and get down there when we can. We work from home, wear masks when we are out and about and have remained healthy. We go every where with S/V Tir Na Nog-well everywhere that we can which does not include Canada and Mexico. We should be retiring within the year, then we leave Elliott Bay Marina and make our way North if its open then go south. I was missing the pics of the cats and you all, then Tom pointed out that you got a different Blog. So finally we can communicate. You both look wonderful so happy that you are ok healthy, Kirk you look great! My hair is grey now, but short. I remain humorous and Tom is still the man of my dreams. Love you, stay safe. Stay in Touch!
